Visas

Tourist and/or student visas requirements vary considerably between nationalities and host destinations.  Not all students enrolling for a language course abroad will necessarily require a student visa.  Many study visits may be taken on a tourist, visitor or other visa.

Where student visas are required however, students must allow adequate pre-departure visa application and processing times prior to course commencement.  Visas are issued by the Embassy or Consulate of the country in which students wish to study.  Generally, a host Embassy or Consulate will be located in your country of citizenship or place of permanent residence.  Some host countries have multiple consulates in a visa applicant’s country of citizenship or place of permanent residence.  Visa applicants will be required to apply to the Consulate in his/her jurisdiction.  The Consular jurisdiction is based on the visa applicant’s place of permanent residence.

Some Embassies or Consulates may require an in-person visit as well as supporting documentation to submit with a visa application. ABBEY Language Travel partner schools are all eligible to provide the required supporting documentation such as the Confirmation of Enrollment and student visa forms to submit with a visa application.

Neither ABBEY Language Travel nor its partner language schools purport to be or hold themselves out as authorities in migration or related advice or services. Visa applications are the responsibility of clients and/or their authorized agents.
